Pointe Claire resides in a quiet area of Montreal Island, which is known as West Island. It is the West Island, to those who have never heard of it, is a vast area that extends from Lachine until the west. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island, although it's not the case. Brugel lived in Courtice located just outside of Oshawa.
